Wedding Photos!

I was woefully late (almost a full week) in posting photos from last weekend’s wedding shoot, so here you go. Great, relaxed couple that I’ve been blessed to photograph several times. They wanted an autumn-ish wedding, so I processed it with a warm glow to show off all of the flower colors and such. Fun to shoot, for sure!

BTW, I’m sitting here late at night, downloading music, listening to much more awake tunes than I should be at this hour, working on photos. How lucky am I?? Life is great.

Unknown Couple in Union Square

The first photo has gotten many early positive reviews from others, and I’m glad- it was a bit of post-production work and I’m always happy when that goes off well. The second… well, it’s todays photo so I’ll report back if I get lots of responses. Or if YOU respond, which I always love! Also, with these moments into people’s lives photos… if you know who this is, I would love to be able to contact them. I was glad to get to photograph this moment for them and for others.

Bride-A-Paloosa and Rough Wedding Workflow

Bride shots are done! Gorgeous, fun images (well, the bride is gorgeous… I guess it’s up to you to decide whether my photos do her justice!).

BTW, if anyone is interested in my workflow through the wedding process, it’s this:

(after wedding)

Bring photos into Lightroom.

Sort through my photos and assistant’s photos, categorizing them first (bride, groom, ceremony, dress, reception, cake eating, whatever is needed for your particular wedding). Then picking the best and flagging them in Lightroom.

Work on the flagged ones, finishing the bride, wedding party, groom, family, prep and ceremony photos completely; informal and reception photos cleaned up (color balance, etc) but not more than that.

Post all to site, in order of when they occurred during the day, and make a disk of the images so far.

Ask for changes, etc, and get an order when finished. Another disk.

Get a happy wedding couple!

Wedded Bliss (the start to some great wedding images)

I can’t tell you how fun this wedding was to shoot. Great people, great lighting (check out that wonderful sky!), great landscapes… I loved it. What a pleasure. I’ll be posting more images from this, along with some landscapes I’ve worked on, some local shots and other portrait work that has come my way recently. Keep coming back and I’m sorry that I was away for 9 days!
